Maryland Concealed "Wear and Carry" Permit Overview: The Maryland Concealed "Wear and Carry" Permit is available for both residents and non-residents of Maryland who are 18 years of age or older. With this Permit, law-abiding citizens may legally carry a handgun concealed in the State of Maryland.

IMPORTANT: Maryland is a "May Issue" State, which means that all who apply for a Maryland Concealed "Wear and Carry" Permit are required to demonstrate a "good and substantial reason" to obtain this Permit (such as being a business owner, employee or for personal protection) in addition to meeting the state mandated requirements.

D.C. Concealed Carry Permit Overview: The D.C. Concealed Carry Permit is available for both residents and non-residents of D.C. who are 21 years of age or older. With this Permit, law-abiding citizens may legally carry a handgun concealed in the District of Columbia.

IMPORTANT: D.C. is a "Shall Issue" Jurisdiction, which means that a D.C. Concealed Carry Permit will be issued to anyone who applies for this Permit, as long as they meet the state mandated requirements. There is no justification of need required to obtain a D.C. Concealed Carry Permit.

Virginia Concealed Carry Permit Overview: The Virginia Concealed Carry Permit is available for both residents and non-residents of Virginia. With this Permit, law-abiding citizens may legally carry a handgun concealed in 27 states, incuding th Commonwealth of Virginia.



IMPORTANT: Virginia is a "Shall Issue" State, which means that a Virginia Concealed Carry Permit will be issued to anyone who applies for this Permit, as long as they meet the state mandated requirements. There is no justification of need required to obtain a Virginia Concealed Carry Permit.

Class Overview: MSAR's Multi-Jurisdication Concealed Carry Permit Class is a Multi-Jurisdiction (MD, D.C. & VA) approved firearms training class that is mandatory for residents and non-residents of Maryland, D.C. and Virginia who wish to apply for a Maryland Concealed "Wear and Carry" Permit, D.C. Concealed Carry Permit and/or a Virginia Concealed Carry Permit. This class is also for Security Officers working in the State of Maryland who wish to apply for a Maryland Armed Security Officer Permit. This class is split into two, 8-hour days and consists of 16-hours of classroom instruction and range time (2nd day only). During the classroom portion of this class, the following topics will be discussed: Application Process, State Firearm Law, Home Firearm Safety and Handgun Mechanisms and Operation. During the range portion of this class, there will be a "live fire" componenet that requires each student to demonstrate gun safety and proficiency with a minimum score of 70% accuracy. Upon successful completion of this class, each student will receive CCP Training Certificates to cover all three Jurisdictions (MD, D.C. & VA) which may be used as proof-of-taining to apply for one, two or all three Concealed Carry Permits.Additionally, with the completion of this class, each student will receive a Voucher for FREE range time on one of our 25yd Pistol Lanes.

DISCLAIMER: Although this class satisfies the training requirements for the Maryland Concealed "Wear and Carry" Permit, the D.C. Concealed Carry Permit, the Virginia Concealed Carry Permit and the Maryland Armed Security Officer Permit, it does NOT guarantee the issuance of this Permits.

Class Fee: $250.00 Per Person; This fee inlcudes Classroom Instruction, Range Time, Test & Evaluation Firearm, Ammunition, Hearing Protection, Eye Protection, Target, CCP Training Certificates.

Class Length: Approximately 16 Hours (Two, 8-Hour Days). Although we try to estimate how long this class will take, the actual ending time is dependent on the number of student attending and the depth of class questions and discussions. Therefore, students should allow additional time to complete this class.

Class Location: This class is held at our facility (Maryland Small Arms Range), located at 9801 Fallard Court, Upper Marlboro, Maryland 20772.The classroom portion of this class will take place in our Private Classroom, located on the 2nd floor of our facility. The range portion of this class will take place on our Indoor Shooting Range, located on the 1st floor of our facility.

Material & Equipment Requirements: NONE. All necessary materials and equipment (firearm, ammunition, ETC.) for this class are provided for each student and included in the $250.00 Class Fee. The only thing that students MUST bring to this class is a valid Driver's License or State Issued ID. Students may also bring note taking materials (pen and paper), however it is not required. Students may bring their own personal handgun to use during the range portion of this class (day two only), as long as the firearm is in good operating condition. Students who do choose to use their own personal handgun must also supply their own ammunition (50 rounds). All personal firearms and ammunition must be brought to the facility unloaded and cased and kept locked in the student's vehicle until specific guidlines are provided by the instructor. No firearms or ammunition shall be allowed in the classroom at any time.

Student Requirements:
Must be 21 years of age or older.
Must possess a valid Driver's License or State Issued ID.
Must be a legal resident of the United States of America.
Must be eligible by both State and Federal law to legally posses and handle firearms.
Must speak, write and understand English. (Entire Class is Conducted in English)
Must be physically capable of safely and effectively operationg a firearm.
Must be able to follow all directions given by the instructor.

IMPORTANT NOTE: The Concealed Carry Permit Training for CIVILIANS is only valid for 2 years. Therefore, applicants must submit their Concealed Carry Permit Application within 2 years of completing this class. The Concealed Carry Permit Training for SECURITY OFFICERS is only valid for 1 year. Therefore, applicants must submit their Armed Security Officer Permit Application within 1 year of completing this class.

IMPORTANT NOTE: This class satisfies ONLY the training requirements for the Maryland Concealed "Wear and Carry" Permit, the D.C. Concealed Carry Permit, the Virginia Concealed Carry Permit and the Maryland Armed Security Officer Permit. In addition to completing this class, each Jurisdiction also requires seperate forms, fees and processes for their Permits which are NOT included in this class.

IMPORTANT NOTE:  As an added bonus, this class will also certify Maryland residents to apply for a Handgun Qualification License (HQL), which is required to purchase, rent or receive a handgun as of October 1st 2013.
